The partnership covers four countries, with a new Hilton at Copenhagen Airport planned for 2029

Scandic and Hilton have signed a multi-year agreement to pursue hotel development in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. The partnership brings together Scandic’s regional operating experience and Hilton’s international hotel brands.

Copenhagen airport hotel takes shape

A confirmed project is a 284-room Hilton Hotels & Resorts property at Scanport, beside Copenhagen Airport. Scandic will operate the hotel under a franchise agreement, with opening expected in 2029. Construction remains subject to outstanding conditions.

What it means for tour operators

For Benelux tour operators, this is a development to follow for longer-term accommodation planning. The airport project’s practical value will depend on future group arrangements, trade terms and its suitability for overnight stops within wider Nordic itineraries.

Why we are watching this

The partnership could broaden accommodation choices across the Nordic region. Its value for product development will become clearer as opening schedules and trade information are released.
