Airline SAS wins Webby Award for its app

Scandinavian Airlines recently revamped and redesigned its mobile application for smartphones. The work has paid off, as SAS was awarded the Webby Award for it.

The Webby Awards are known as the "internet's highest honour" and honour excellence in web design, content, functionality and user experience. They are presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. With over 14,000 entries from around the world, the Webby Awards are considered one of the most prestigious awards in the digital world.

The SAS app is available on iOS and Android platforms. In the new version, the user experience has been improved and the booking process optimised. It received a sleek and modern design, which includes several travel facilitating features. New features include travel recommendations, real-time flight updates and easy access to boarding passes and travel documents.
