New routes, expanded frequencies and better access across Scandinavia
SAS has announced its most extensive summer schedule ever for 2026. With new direct routes, extended seasons and increased frequencies, the airline is reinforcing Scandinavia’s role as a well-connected hub while also boosting travel options within Northern Europe.
New routes from Stockholm and Visby
On June 22, 2026, a new route will connect Visby with Copenhagen three times a week. In addition, Stockholm will see added frequencies to Brussels, Dublin, Paris and Vaasa.
Oslo gains more flights to Dublin, Brussels and Reykjavik. Copenhagen further expands with more than 25 routes offering additional departures, including Berlin, Budapest, Prague, Tallinn.
Copenhagen as Scandinavia’s hub
With a 20 percent increase in seat capacity from Copenhagen, connecting opportunities will grow by 50 percent. Seasonal routes such as Ålesund, Edinburgh and Thessaloniki will now be extended to cover the full summer.
“With our largest summer program ever and new Airbus A350s, we are taking a big step forward in making Scandinavia even more accessible,” says SAS CEO Anko van der Werff.
Stronger ties for tourism and business
The expansion improves access within Scandinavia and enhances international connectivity. This benefits both business and leisure travelers and positions Northern Europe as a gateway for diverse travel experiences.
