Norwegian adjusts to seasonal fluctuations in demand and thereby reduces loss

Norwegian recently announced its results for the first quarter of 2023. The figures demonstrate Norwegian's ability to reduce capacity in the quieter winter period before ramping it up towards the end of the quarter as the summer programme begins.

Strong booking figures, which continue to be encouraging, suggest Norwegian is in for a strong summer.

Norwegian narrowed its operating loss in the first quarter of 2023. The liquidity position improved during the quarter. At the end of the quarter, Norwegian's operating fleet comprised 72 aircraft. Norwegian has adjusted capacity to seasonal fluctuations in demand and is preparing for the upcoming summer season. To this end, eleven latest-generation aircraft were put into service and staff recruited.
