Norway's fjords ranked 2nd in Top 10 cruise destinations

As demand for cruises increases, a new study has identified the 10 most popular cruise destinations in 2023. Norway's fjords are ranked second in the top 10.

Around 31.5 million people are expected to take a cruise this year. The team at Slingo analysed Google search data, Tiktok views, Instagram posts and cruise reviews to determine the most popular cruise destinations. The study also revealed the most expensive and the cheapest cruise lines.

In second place in the top 10 cruise destinations with the biggest increase in Google search volume are the Norwegian fjords, behind the Atlantic islands and ahead of the Italian Riviera. Searches for Norway's fjords have increased by 235%. The fjords in the far north are a popular option for those who want to experience the Aurora Borealis and discover unique landscapes.
