Public Road Administration releases overview of nationwide ferry connections

Statens vegvesen, Norway's public road administration, has developed a platform where all ferry connections in Norway can be viewed. The overview provides information on departure times, traffic reports and links to the ferry companies.

The overview simplifies planning for car journeys and aims to help motorists to be less stressed on the journey to the ferry. The platform's service is constantly being expanded and new functions added. The site gets its basic data from EnTur, the state travel company.

The Norwegian Road Administration takes care of 16 ferry connections. Meanwhile, there are about 100 other ferry routes throughout Norway, the majority of which belong to county road or municipal associations or are privately owned.
