Moxy Hotels opens Moxy Tromsø
Moxy Hotels are the experiential hotels of the Mariott Bonvoy brand, whose portfolio includes some 31 exceptional brands. Moxy Hotel Tromsø is the northernmost property in Marriott Bonvoy's global portfolio. The hotel is operated by Core Hospitality A/S.
The new Moxy Tromsø combines stylish, industrial design with friendly service at an affordable price. All 208 rooms have walk-in showers, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, comfortable beds and motion-activated LED lights. The Danish design studio "Mette Fredskild Studio" was visibly inspired by the surroundings. The colour palette ranges from traditional local costume with indigo, cobalt and city blue to warmer colours such as purple, brown and deep red. The public space murals created by local artists Alice Kvalvik and Jonathan Broca playfully capture life in Tromsø and the surrounding area.
The new hotel showcases the beauty of the surroundings to its best advantage. Guests enter the Sky Bar Moxy on the top floor, the social heart of the hotel, which also serves as the reception. All guests are greeted with a "Got Moxy" cocktail or mocktail and room key upon check-in.
The hotel is the gateway to breathtaking Arctic adventures: Husky and reindeer visits, Sami cultural experiences, whale safaris, Northern Lights hunting, cross-country skiing or fjord cruises. Tromsø is famous for its beautiful winter landscapes and the fascinating Northern Lights. In summer, guests can enjoy the midnight sun.
