Haikko Manor joins Finland's largest private hotel chain

Haikko Manor, a wellness hotel in Porvoo, will become the newest member of the Lapland Hotels chain. North European Invest Oy, the owner of Lapland Hotels, Finland's largest private hotel chain, and Lapland Safaris, the largest provider of experience services in the Nordic countries, is in the process of acquiring the entire share capital of Vuoristo-Yhtiöt Oy, the operator of Haikko Manor. This acquisition will also change the ownership of the real estate company Haikon Kartano Oy.

Haikko Manor, which started operations in 1966 under Satu (now Tiivola) and Leo Vuoristo, is considered Finland's first manor house hotel. It is also the largest employer in the tourism sector in Eastern Uusimaa. Today, the 211-room hotel is known for its diverse restaurant, meeting and party facilities, as well as its wellness facilities.

Seamless transition and family tradition

After the change of ownership, Haikko Manor's services and activities will continue without interruption to provide quality experiences for customers. The existing staff of Vuoristo-Yhtiöt Oy will continue to be employed.

The acquisition brings together two Finnish family businesses that share a commitment to sustainability and delivering exceptional customer experiences. North European Invest Oy is owned by Pertti Yliniemi and his family, while Haikko Manor is a traditional company owned by Veikko Vuoristo and his family.

The completion of the acquisition is subject to approval by the Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority.
