Ferry operator Viking Line reports growing passenger numbers from Germany, Asia and long-haul markets. Security, nature, cooler climates and sustainable travel continue to boost Nordic appeal. Viking Line says international demand for travel to the Nordic region remains strong, with rising passenger numbers from several global markets. The company carried 4.6 million passengers last year, with more than half coming from outside Finland. International growth has been particularly strong from Germany, China, the United States and Southern Europe.

Germany remains Viking Line’s largest international source market. At the same time, Chinese passenger numbers have risen sharply, supported by improved flight connectivity to the Nordic region.
