Icelandair adds Innsbruck in Austria to winter schedule

Icelandair will operate flights between Keflavik and Innsbruck in Austria for a few weeks in winter 2024. Icelandair will operate the route once a week between 27 January and 02 March 2024.

Innsbruck is located in the Alps and surrounded by some of the best ski resorts in the world. Austria's fifth largest city has long been a popular destination for winter sports enthusiasts. The city is the latest addition to Icelandair's winter sports destinations. Primarily, the flights are aimed at Icelanders who want to ski in Tyrol. Of course, conversely, they are also suitable for Austrians who want to experience winter and the Northern Lights in Iceland.

Tomas Ingason, Icelandair Chief Revenue Officer, says: "We are delighted to announce Innsbruck as the latest destination in our extensive route network. The city is surrounded by some of the best ski resorts in the world and is a very popular winter sports destination. Due to its great location in the Alps, winter slots at the airport are in short supply, so we are delighted to add the city to our great winter sports offering."
