More space for nature lovers and active travelers – New spa, suites, and conference facilities planned
In May 2024, we reported on the planned expansion of Hotel Iso-Syöte in Northern Finland. Now, the project has taken a more concrete shape: the hotel has officially released details about the extensive developments to be completed by 2026. The expansion is a direct response to growing demand for high-quality accommodation and year-round experiences in one of Lapland’s most scenic destinations.
Nature and comfort combined: new suites and panoramic spa
The new building will be connected to the main hotel and will offer spectacular views over the surrounding fells. The plans include:
- 21 new, modern suites designed in a sleek Nordic style
- A spacious panorama spa with views of the Arctic wilderness
- A new sauna area with a variety of relaxing and experience-focused spaces
These additions are aimed at both wellness-focused guests and active travelers seeking a balance of relaxation and outdoor adventure.
Another highlight of the expansion is the creation of a new multi-purpose conference room, ideal for corporate events, group trips, and intimate gatherings.
Temporary closure in spring 2025
To accommodate construction work, the hotel will be temporarily closed from April 21 to June 6, 2025. After that, regular operations will resume. During the entire construction period, the team will do their best to minimize any inconvenience for guests. Up-to-date information about the project and its progress will be shared on the hotel’s website and social media channels.
With this expansion, Hotel Iso-Syöte reinforces its position as a top destination for year-round nature-based and wellness travel in Northern Finland. The new additions will appeal to leisure seekers, active travelers, and business guests alike, further strengthening the region’s role as a forward-looking travel destination in Northern Europe.
