Helsinki Airport wins award for best airport food court

The food court in the departures area at Helsinki Airport has won the sought-after title of ‘Airport Food Hall of the Year 2024’ at the international Airport Food and Beverage and Hospitality Airport Awards (FAB Awards). This competition in the tourism and restaurant industry honours outstanding achievements in airport catering and hospitality.

Helsinki Airport's win is based on the diversity of its culinary offering, high customer satisfaction and excellent value for money. Since 2019, the number of restaurants at the airport has almost doubled, and the range of hot dishes in particular has become much more diverse, as Nora Immonen, Director of Commercial Business at Finavia, emphasises.

The food court, which opened in autumn 2023, comprises five restaurants: Asian Kitchen, Bastard Burgers, Fafa's, Pala Pizza Bar and Tori Kitchen & Cafe. This area is operated by the restaurant service provider Select Service Partner Finland (SSP Finland). The new food court complements the already award-winning food hall in the arrivals hall, which also won the FAB Award in 2023.
