Due to the energy crisis, Fjord Line has decided to rebuild its ships

Fjord Line's two LNG vessels MS Stavangerfjord and MS Bergensfjord will be converted from single-fuel LNG engines to dual-fuel LNG/MGO engines. Therefore, the Hirtshals - Stavanger - Bergen and Hirtshals - Langesund routes will not be served during the period from 8 February to 24 May 2023.

The conversion of the two ships is taking place in the wake of the energy crisis, which has led to exceptionally high and fluctuating fuel prices. The conversion is necessary to maintain the customer offer, secure jobs and ensure the further development of Fjord Line.
