Five Santa's Hotels receive Green Key certification

Santa's Hotels' commitment to environmental responsibility recognised

Santa's Hotel Santa Claus and Santa's Igloos Arctic Circle in Rovaniemi as well as Santa's Resort & Spa Hotel Sani in Kalajoki were awarded the prestigious Green Key sustainability certificate at the end of September. This award underlines their commitment to environmental responsibility in the tourism sector.

Santa's Hotel Tunturi in Saariselkä and Santa's Hotel Aurora in Luosto also received Green Key certification in August 2024. This means that five out of six applications have been successfully certified. The remaining application from Santa's Hotel Rakka in Kilpisjärvi will be audited by the end of 2024.

Green Key certification is only awarded to facilities that comply with strict environmental standards. This is ensured through careful documentation and regular audits.

Pia Virtala, Director of Rovaniemi Hotels, emphasises: ‘The Green Key sustainability certificates demonstrate the daily sustainability efforts of our entire team.’
Minna Salo, Director of Santa's Resort & Spa Hotel Sani, added: ‘The Green Key certificate demonstrates our commitment as an operator in the tourism industry to reduce environmental impact, promote social benefits and support the local economy.’

Santa's Hotels is a major player in Northern Finland's tourism sector, offering exceptional accommodation and dining experiences in Rovaniemi, Luosto, Levi, Saariselkä, Kilpisjärvi and Kalajoki. Sanna Sandgren, CEO of Santa's Hotels, said:
