From September 2023, Finnlines will also open the doors of its ferries to passengers without vehicles

Finnlines offers two daily departures seven days a week from Sweden to Finland via the Åland Islands. From September 2023, two new larger Superstar-class vessels will operate on the route and also welcome pedestrians.

Until now, anyone wishing to travel with Finnlines had to be travelling with a vehicle (car, bicycle). In future, cars and bicycles will be allowed to stay at home.

Travel comfort will also be further improved on the new vessels. Passengers will be able to view the archipelago through panoramic windows, make use of the Nordic interior design and sweat in a Finnish sauna. The ships have several cabin categories, and the restaurants serve food and drinks created by prominent chefs and bartenders.

Finnlines offers two daily departures from each port on the Kapellskär-Långnäs-Naantali route. The sea journey from Kapellskär to Naantali takes approx. 8-9 hours.
