Expanded Arctic expeditions and early booking discounts announced

Arctic Pro Cruises – formerly known as Iceland Pro Cruises – has unveiled its new travel program for the 2026 season. With an expanded portfolio, the tour operator offers adventurous routes to Iceland, Greenland, and Svalbard. A total of four vessels, including expedition and cruise ships, will be deployed for the upcoming season.

Expedition ships and classic cruise vessel in operation

The trusted expedition vessels Hondius, Ortelius, and Plancius will be part of the fleet. Additionally, Arctic Pro Cruises will operate the small ocean cruise ship Hamburg from Plantours on a shared charter basis. Each itinerary includes exclusive pre-tour programs and expert-led lectures on board – a trademark of the brand.

New: Two-week Greenland expedition from Iceland

A highlight of the 2026 program is a new two-week expedition from Iceland to the Greenlandic pack ice. The Hondius, accommodating 170 guests, will visit several Icelandic regions, including the well-known whale-watching hotspot Húsavík. The voyage is accompanied by experienced guide, lecturer, and author Dietmar Schäffer, offering insights into the destination’s geography and culture.

Special journey to the Arctic solar eclipse

The Hamburg will also set sail for Arctic destinations in summer 2026. Arctic Pro Cruises provides its own German-speaking tour leaders and curated shore excursions for these voyages. One standout itinerary is the “Solar Eclipse in the Arctic” cruise from July 31 to August 18, 2026. Departing from Hamburg, the journey includes stops at the Shetland and Faroe Islands, multiple ports in Iceland – including Reykjavík – before continuing on to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland.

From Iceland specialist to Arctic expert

Evolving from Iceland Pro Cruises, Arctic Pro Cruises has transformed from a specialist for Iceland and Greenland combination voyages into a broader provider of Arctic expedition and group cruises. Collaborating with several partners, the Hamburg-based company now offers immersive sea-based experiences across the North.
