25hours creates a tranquil haven amidst Copenhagen’s bustle

Excitement fills the air as 25hours Hotels announces the eagerly awaited opening of its second establishment in Copenhagen, set to debut on July 27. Introducing the 25hours Hotel Paper Island, this new gem sits strategically close to Nyhavn, one of Copenhagen's most iconic destinations.

This eye-catching addition to Copenhagen's hospitality landscape will boast 128 rooms, an enticing Asian restaurant, a chic daytime bar, and a rooftop terrace, all meticulously designed to evoke the essence of a quintessential Danish summer retreat. Formerly a paper warehouse and more recently a bustling street market, Christiansholm Island—dubbed Paper Island—now hosts this extraordinary hotel.
Crafted by local architects from COBE and infused with character by Swedish interior designers from Stylt Trampoli in Gothenburg, the hotel captures the serene ambiance of its island locale while offering seamless access to the city center.

A seamless blend of nature and urban sophistication

Drawing inspiration from the allure of island living, the hotel's design harmonizes the unspoiled beauty of nature with the vibrancy of urban life, reminiscent of a Scandinavian seaside escape. Natural hues and materials seamlessly meld with nostalgic accents and curated artifacts, creating a welcoming sanctuary for guests seeking respite and rejuvenation.

With room rates starting at DKK 1800 per night (inclusive of VAT, excluding breakfast), the hotel offers 128 well-appointed rooms, including six with private outdoor spaces. Additionally, the ground floor features versatile function rooms capable of accommodating groups of up to 150 people, making it an ideal venue for various events. General Manager Grit Rister expresses her enthusiasm for the hotel's unique locale, highlighting its commitment to the local community. "Our guests can savor the essence of hygge, away from the urban hustle yet conveniently connected via a pedestrian and cyclist bridge," she notes. Rister, who has overseen operations at 25hours Hotel Indre By since April 2023, will helm both Copenhagen properties.

A culinary expedition through Asia

Elevating the culinary scene, the hotel proudly introduces Tiger Lily, an innovative Asian dining concept curated in collaboration with the renowned team from Jan Tran in Hamburg. Offering tantalizing dishes such as 'pulled noodles with lamb chili oil' and 'pork belly burnt ends with BBQ caramel hot sour salad,' Tiger Lily promises to whisk guests away on an epicurean journey across Asia. In addition to the restaurant, guests and locals alike can indulge in the delights of the Nomad Day Bar, nestled on the ground floor with a picturesque waterfront terrace, serving a delightful array of locally sourced fare and beverages throughout the day. Meanwhile, the hotel's rooftop bar on the eighth floor provides the ultimate setting to unwind and soak in panoramic vistas of the city skyline.

The 25hours Hotel Paper Island epitomizes the fusion of Scandinavian charm and cosmopolitan allure, offering guests an unforgettable experience in the heart of Copenhagen. With its distinctive design, culinary innovations, and unwavering commitment to community engagement, the hotel aspires to become a vibrant urban hub for travelers and locals alike.
