Sommerro Hotel to open in Oslo in September

The headquarters of the Norwegian electricity company "Oslo Lysverker", built in the 1930s, is converted. Hotel Sommerro will open in September in the venerable listed building.

The new hotel offers 231 rooms, 56 residencies and 7 bars and restaurants. The roof terrace will house a Nordic-Japanese restaurant, a sauna and the capital's only year-round rooftop pool.

The interior design consists of numerous Art Deco elements and will also include modern homages to Norwegian culture. The house offers a range of events and activities, for example concert series with jazz musicians, art exhibitions, wellness and electric sauna boat tours in the nearby fjords.
