New connection enhances Turku's international accessibility

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced the commencement of a new route between Turku Airport and Copenhagen, Denmark, starting March 31, 2025. This service will operate four times weekly—on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays—until May 21, 2025. From that date, an additional Wednesday flight will be added, providing daily weekday service throughout the summer season.

Operational details

The Turku-Copenhagen flights will utilize a 122-seat Embraer E195 aircraft. There will be a brief hiatus from Midsummer to early August, after which the weekday flights will resume until the end of the summer schedule.

Enhancing connectivity

Petri Vuori, Finavia's Senior Vice President for Sales & Route Development, expressed satisfaction with the new route, stating, "The new route strengthens Turku’s international accessibility and offers passengers a wide range of connecting flights from Copenhagen to Europe and the United States."

Additional services

SAS will continue its existing service from Turku Airport to Stockholm Arlanda Airport during the summer of 2025. The airline also plans to increase the frequency of flights between Helsinki and Copenhagen, further enhancing connectivity for Finnish travelers.

This new route is part of SAS's broader strategy to expand its network and improve accessibility between key Nordic cities and international destinations.
