SAS launches direct flights between Copenhagen and Kiruna

New route enhances access to Swedish Lapland's winter attractions

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has announced the commencement of direct flights from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Kiruna, Sweden, starting December 12, 2024. This service aims to meet the increasing demand for Arctic tourism by providing convenient access to Kiruna's unique winter experiences.

Flight schedule and duration

The Copenhagen-Kiruna route will operate during the winter season, from December 12, 2024, to April 27, 2025. Flights are scheduled on Thursdays and Sundays, with additional Saturday departures during the peak holiday period. The flight duration is approximately 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Enhancing tourism and connectivity

This new route is expected to boost tourism in Swedish Lapland by facilitating easier access for international travelers. It also offers residents of northern Sweden improved connections to Europe and beyond through SAS's extensive network via Copenhagen.
