Finavia expects occasional airport overcrowding

Since 26 July, Covid certificates of all passengers arriving at Helsinki Airport from high-risk countries are being checked. As a result, there may be queues and long waiting times.

The new entry model has ended controls at the EU's internal borders. Instead, checks are now carried out by the health authorities. The Vantaa City Health Authority checks the certificates at two points, to which passengers are directed straight from the flights.

Finavia advises using the Finentry service for a smooth process. This can make entry into the country much easier. You can register for the service in your country of origin.
