Finnair launches 100-day-Christmas-countdown with expanded flights

Airline Finnair boosts winter schedule with increased flights and special fares

In preparation for the upcoming festive season, Finnair, recognized as the Official Airline of Santa Claus, has initiated its 100-day countdown to Christmas with an expanded winter schedule and promotional fares. This year, the airline has increased its flight services to Lapland by 27% compared to last year, offering travelers more opportunities to visit Finland’s popular holiday destinations.

Increased flight frequency and special offer

For the 2024 winter season, Finnair will operate up to 31 daily flights to Lapland. Flights to Rovaniemi, a major Christmas destination, will depart as frequently as every 30 minutes during peak travel periods.

Expanded winter schedule and convenient connections

Anssi Partanen, Finnair's Market Director for Europe, expressed the airline’s commitment to the winter travel season. “As the Official Airline of Santa Claus, we are excited to celebrate the Christmas countdown with our new campaign fares. With only 100 days left, we encourage travelers to plan their trip to Finland’s winter destinations and enjoy the unique experiences Lapland offers,” said Partanen.

The airline’s expanded schedule includes up to 31 daily flights to key Lapland locations, including Ivalo, Kemi-Tornio, Kittilä, Kuusamo, and Rovaniemi.
