Celebrating commitment and collaboration in Lapland’s travel industry

At the Lapland Tourism Parliament 2025 in Muonio, two key players were recognised for their contributions to Lapland’s tourism: Discover Airlines received the Lapland Tourism Achievement of the Year 2025 award, while Jan Badur, Managing Director of NordicMarketing, was honoured with an honourable mention (Kunniamaininta).

Discover Airlines: strengthening Lapland’s connectivity

The main award went to Discover Airlines, acknowledged for its strong confidence in Lapland’s tourism potential and its role in enhancing international accessibility. With new and expanded flight routes to Finnish Lapland, the airline has significantly supported the region’s visibility and year-round appeal.

Honouring NordicMarketing’s long-term dedication

The honourable mention was presented to Jan Badur, who has promoted Finnish and Nordic destinations in Central Europe for more than 20 years. Through NordicMarketing, he has helped numerous Lapland tourism companies find the right partners and build successful international cooperation.

“This award means a lot to me and fills me with gratitude. It’s great to be part of this family where everyone knows everyone else. This award means belonging. Thank you!” – Jan Badur, Managing Director NordicMarketing
