Destination Lapland Welcomes Finland Tourism Expert Jyrki Oksanen

Strengthening the company’s international growth strategy

Destination Lapland has announced that Jyrki Oksanen will assume the role of Sales Director on 1 August 2026. A recognized Finland tourism expert, Oksanen spent more than eight years with Visit Finland, most recently serving as Head of DACH & Benelux. Well known across the travel industry, he has hosted numerous Finland-focused events and trade gatherings throughout his career. His appointment supports Destination Lapland’s ongoing strategic growth ambitions.

Oksanen will focus on further strengthening the international market position of both Destination Lapland and Nivunki Village. Key priorities in his new role include expanding international customer relationships, developing sales processes, and supporting the long-term growth of the company’s brand.
