Destination Lapland Welcomes Finland Tourism Expert Jyrki Oksanen

Jyrki Oksanen strengthens Destination Lapland’s international sales team

Destination Lapland has announced that Jyrki Oksanen will take over the position of Sales Director as of August 1, 2026. The long-standing Finland expert has been working for Visit Finland for more than 25 years. After roles with responsibility for the Benelux markets as well as the DACH region, he currently leads activities in these source markets as Head of DACH & Benelux.

In the travel industry, he is well known thanks to this expertise as well as his presence at industry events and Finland-focused events. With this appointment, Destination Lapland is consistently continuing its strategic growth course.

Oksanen will focus on further strengthening the international market position of both Destination Lapland and Nivunki Village. Key priorities in his new role include expanding international customer relationships, developing sales processes, and supporting the long-term growth of the company’s brand.
