More environmentally friendly Green Key Hotels in Denmark
Now, more than one in five hotels in Denmark is certified with the international Green Key eco-label. Last year, 20 hotels were stamped, so that now 137 hotels have the approval with the environmental requirements.
The increase of Green Key Hotels continued during the Corona Crisis. "The demand for sustainable tourism products is growing. For hotels, certification is a way to document that they are working with sustainability, which is why we are seeing more and more Green Key hotels," says Environmental Manager Mikal Holt of HORESTA. VisitDenmark has produced the Green Key Hotels report in cooperation with HORESTA to focus on sustainability and climate in tourism.
