Enhanced digital tool improves data accuracy and supports sustainable cruise development in Northern Europe

The cruise networks Cruise Baltic and Cruise Norway have jointly introduced an updated itinerary planning tool designed for cruise lines operating in the Baltic Sea and along the Norwegian coast. The new Itinerary Planner significantly simplifies cruise route planning while offering improved data quality and greater reliability.

Real-time data and better coordination

The platform provides real-time information on ports, berth availability, time slots, and environmental regulations – all accessible via a user-friendly interface. This allows cruise operators to plan routes more efficiently and avoid issues such as congestion or suboptimal scheduling.

A key advantage of the tool is its focus on transparency and coordination among destinations. This not only improves the planning process for cruise lines but also helps support the creation of more sustainable itineraries with reduced environmental impact.

Strengthening regional collaboration

The collaboration between Cruise Baltic and Cruise Norway highlights a strong regional effort to streamline cruise tourism. Together, the two organizations represent around 45 ports across nine countries, including all major cruise destinations in Scandinavia, the Baltic region, and Northern Germany.

With the new tool, the partners aim to standardize key planning processes and facilitate easier access to vital data, especially in light of new environmental standards and port infrastructure requirements.

The new Itinerary Planner offers cruise lines a powerful solution for designing attractive and efficient itineraries throughout Northern Europe. At the same time, Cruise Baltic and Cruise Norway reaffirm their shared commitment to developing a sustainable and forward-looking cruise industry in the region.
