British Airways launches new London Gatwick–Rovaniemi route

New direct connection to Finnish Lapland for winter 2026/27

British Airways, through its subsidiary BA Euroflyer, is expanding its Finnish Lapland network with a new direct route between London Gatwick and Rovaniemi for the 2026/27 winter season.

The new service will launch on 4 December 2026 and operate twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays, providing UK travelers with another convenient option to reach one of Lapland’s most popular winter destinations.

More opportunities for UK tour operators

The new route strengthens connectivity between the UK and Finnish Lapland, offering additional capacity for winter programs centered around Northern Lights, festive holidays and Arctic experiences.

Alongside the new Rovaniemi service, British Airways will continue to operate its London Gatwick–Ivalo route throughout the winter season, giving tour operators even more flexibility when planning itineraries to Finnish Lapland.
