More flights from Riga to Germany and key European destinations strengthen connectivity to the Baltics
airBaltic has presented its summer 2027 flight programme, running from the end of March to the end of October 2027. With Riga continuing to serve as its main hub, the Latvian airline is further strengthening connections between the Baltic region and key European markets, including Germany, the Netherlands and other important business and leisure destinations.
For tour operators planning trips to the Baltics, the updated flight schedule offers additional flexibility when creating itineraries through Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania, as well as combining the Baltics with other European destinations.
More flights from Riga to Germany and Europe
For summer 2027, airBaltic will increase frequencies on several routes from Riga. Of particular relevance to the DACH market are:

Düsseldorf – up to 7 flights per week

Hamburg – up to 7 flights per week

Munich – continued direct connection

Frankfurt – continued direct connection
The airline will also increase services from Riga to other key European destinations, including London Gatwick with up to 14 flights per week, Paris with 12, and Barcelona and Rome with 7 each.
For travellers from the Netherlands and Belgium, Amsterdam remains directly connected to Riga. The expanded hub in Riga also provides additional onward connection opportunities across the airBaltic network.
Riga remains the gateway to the Baltics
For summer 2027, airBaltic will offer 57 direct destinations from Riga, while Tallinn will be connected to 13 and Vilnius to 8 destinations. Riga will therefore remain the airline's central hub.
The network includes direct connections to destinations such as Helsinki, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen and Reykjavik. This also makes Riga a convenient starting point for travel programmes combining the Baltics with Northern Europe.
In addition, airBaltic is introducing an optimized hub structure in Riga. Adjusted flight schedules and shorter or better-coordinated connection times are designed to make transfers between destinations across the airBaltic network more convenient.
What does this mean for tour operators?
The summer 2027 flight programme offers tour operators greater flexibility when creating Baltic itineraries, particularly for customers from Germany and the Benelux markets.
Higher frequencies on selected routes and Riga's central role as a hub make it easier to plan both city breaks and multi-destination tours through Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. At the same time, the airBaltic network provides further connections to Northern Europe. Overall, airBaltic plans to serve more than 100 destinations in 2027.
