Finland hosts the world's most famous air guitar competition

After two years in which the World Air Guitar Championships had to be held virtually, the event will once again take place live in Oulu, Finland, from 24 to 26 August. Air guitarists from all over the world will travel to compete.

The participants first go through the national air guitar competitions in their home countries before they reach the finals in Oulu. Thanks to the "Black Horse Qualification round", however, every skilled guitarist still has the chance to enter the final on site.

From Tuesday 23rd to Thursday 25th of August there will be various activities going on in Oulu. On Friday 26th of August the finals will get serious and the new air guitar world champion will be crowned.

The Air Guitar World Championships have been taking place since 1996 and have always been a plea for peace. Make air, not war!
