Finnish destinations and tourism businesses will once again have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to international travel buyers through the official pre- and post-tour program of Matka Workshop Day 2027.
Matka Fair and Matka Workshop Day have appointed NordicMarketing as the official operator and coordinator of the 2027 pre- and post-tour program. Working together with destinations and tourism companies across Finland, NordicMarketing will develop and coordinate familiarization tours taking place before and after the event.
The pre- and post-tour program offers destinations, accommodation providers, activity companies, restaurants and other tourism businesses the opportunity to present their products in the best possible way: through first-hand experiences.
Instead of introducing a destination only during workshop meetings, international buyers can experience it themselves. Visiting a destination, meeting local entrepreneurs and enjoying authentic products and hospitality creates a deeper understanding of what makes each region unique and easier to sell.
Personal experiences often lead to stronger business relationships.
By taking part in the official program, destinations can build valuable connections with international buyers, increase awareness of their tourism offering and inspire future product development. Experiencing a destination first-hand gives buyers the confidence to recommend it to their clients and include it in future itineraries.
As the official operator and coordinator, NordicMarketing will work closely with Finnish tourism partners to create inspiring tour programs that highlight the diversity of Finland's tourism offering.
With extensive experience in international tourism marketing, hosted buyer programmes, familiarization trips and travel trade events, NordicMarketing will coordinate the overall planning of the tours, collaborate with participating destinations and manage the buyer participation process.
