Trek canoeing on the Kiiminkijoki

Experience wild nature and its power on the free streaming River Kiiminkijoki. The trek canoeing route goes partly through uninhabited areas, gives you splendid possibility to observe flora and fauna or maybe you'll have fish cough. Variable river sections offer many sided environment. Learn more to read water streams, feel nature laws and its power.
Daily canoeing task vary from 15 km to 20 km. Rich moments of relaxing lunch breaks by open fire every day give strength to go further. Experienced guide teaches safety rules properly. Every evening accommodation, dinner and sauna are served in Vuoton Joutsen.

  • Season: 01.06. - 30.10.
  • Language: English, German on request for additional fee
  • Participants: 4-12 pax. (4 persons price is minimum charge)
  • Starting time/point: 10 am, Vuoton Joutsen yard
  • Duration: 5 days including arrival and departure days/ 4 night in a double room (Note: extra nights are possible)s
  • Minimum age: 18 years or under 18 year old with parents
  • Services: Picking up from Airport Oulu, local transport in the area to the starting points and from the ending points; Canoeing/kayaking paddles, life wests, helmets, gloves and dry sacks, all needed safety equipment; 4x breakfast, 3x lunch packages, 4x dinner; 4 nights in Vuoton Joutsen in double or single room; Guide, saunas, maps and route information, insect repellent.
  • Optional: Overnight stay in tent by the river can be arranged, single room; extra canoeing day(s) and meals.
  • Note: Participants need good water resistant shoes, normal outdoor clothing and extra clothes, sunglasses, backpack.
