Nature photo guiding

We will meet you at the hotel, and drive you by car to our starting point. Here, you will get acquainted with the camera and practice some photographing in order to be well prepared to take good pictures of the landscape, animals and the local culture during the tour. When we feel confident with the camera, we go in search of photo objects. We choose our objects depending on the weather and the eight sami seasons. We can never guarantee pictures of for example wild animals, but we will search for good nature sceneries, sneak up on arctic animals like moose, reindeer and birds and look for possibilities to photograph local people or places.

Aurora Borealis photo tour

We collect you at your hotel and take you to one of the best places in Kiruna for auroral photography. While waiting for the Aurora Borealis we teach you the basics of northern lights/night photography, using either your own camera equipment or ours. We take photos not only of the Northern Lights but also of ourselves and of the nature around us. If it is not an auroral night we will teach you how you later, with your own camera, can create beautiful auroral images. We will finish offthe evening with a cup of coffee or tea by the fire.

Aurora dinner and photo in Abisko

This is a tour for those who do not want to embark on an overnight trip to the famous Abisko. We will pick you up at your hotel and take you for a 1.5 hour drive out of Kiruna. Here we will eat a three course dinner at the Abisko mountain station while our local guide tells about the area, about sami culture and about the Northern Lights in the sami tradition. After dinner, we take a walk in the Abisko Nationalpark, to look for the Aurora borealis. We can never guarantee that we will see the Northern Lights, but since we go by car and our guides are familiar with the area, we have good possibilities to succeed. If you bring a camera, our photo guides will help you to take photos. We will be back in Kiruna again before midnight.
