The Maikkula Estate is a company offering conference and celebration services by the Oulu river only 15 minutes away by car from the centre of Oulu. We have our own private restaurant, open only by reservation, which provides all the delicious meals and drinks for all our premises. We serve our customers in a gorgeous manor area where you can find both the old buildings restored with traditional methods and respect for the historical values as well as more modern parts matching the style. We have a variety of rooms from historical halls to modern conference room or even saunas.
The Maikkula Estate’s private restaurant is known for its excellent food and good service. We always do our best as we know that the taste experience that remains from an event is important to our guests! All our meals are made of pure and fresh ingredients from local suppliers. For example lamb served is local produced when grown up in Maikkula Manor's meadow. Meals can range from a laid-back grill party of a group of intimate friends to festive company dinners or truly luxurious and ambitious family celebrations in the estate’s main building. We prepare all dishes right here in our own kitchen – with love, of course.
Wheter it is a business occasion, conference, meeting, a family celebration, a good night out or a wedding ceremony – you can organize them all in Maikkula. Why don't you spend a whole day in the Maikkula Estate! You can start you day with activities. Have a tar boat journey on the Oulujoki river or in wintertime enjoy a customized day for your group playing ice-golf, ice-fishing or snowshoeing. Why not get a visit from huskies or reindeers. Our partners in activities are Eventours and Go Arctic. Walking tours around the Maikkula Estate area in order to hear stories about the estates history can be booked from Go Arctic.
Before it's time to enjoy the tasty offerings of our kitchen, it is time for sauna at the bank of Oulu River! We have three different saunas available by pre-order for private use: a traditional Smokesauna ("Savusauna") with mild and mellow steam and heat, wood-heated Korsusauna and electrically heated Lohisauna. One can easily dip into the refreshing river from all saunas, except when the river is frozen. A group of 100 persons can take a sauna at the same time.
