Hotel Krepelin in Finland

Apartmenthotel Krepelin is located in the centre of Kristinestad, on the west coast of Finland. The buildings were built between 1812 and 1860 in the inner courtyard of the original trading house and were completely renovated in 2002 to create a total of nine apartments.

Nine individual apartments

Each apartment has two or more beds fitted with our signature sheets and pillow covers. In addition, the apartments have a fully equipped modern kitchen where cooking breakfast and other meals is easy, wireless internet, and a bathroom. 

  • Pet room: This apartment comes with a bedroom, a kitchen & a bathroom and is especially meant for guests with pets. The antique sofa functions as the third bed, if needed.
  • The General Store: This room includes a kitchen, a small living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with two beds. The sofa also converts to a third bed.
  • Family room: This one includes a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and two bedrooms. The first with two beds, the second with three.
  • The Bakery 1: The Bakery B1 includes a kitchen, a small living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with two beds. The sofa also converts into a third bed.
  • The Bakery 2: The Bakery B2 includes a kitchen, a small living room, a bathroom and a bedroom with two beds. The sofa also converts into a third bed.
  • The Spice Storage: This one is in use only during summertime. It features a small kitchen / living room combo, a bathroom and upstairs a bedroom with two beds. In the 19th century, this is where the merchant stored salt and spices imported from the Mediterranean.
  • The Horse Stable: This one is in use only during summertime. It features a kitchen / living room combo, a bathroom downstairs and upstairs a bedroom with four beds.
  • The Cowshed: This apartment renovated by antique restoration students using 19th-century techniques features a kitchen / living room combo, a bathroom downstairs and upstairs a bedroom with four beds.
  • The Bailiff House: The biggest (90-square-meter) apartment that has two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a bathroom. This is where a Bailiff used to keep his office in the 19th century. The first bedroom includes a queen size bed and a single bed, the second bedroom includes two single beds.

  • Meals: no own restaurant, so guests must cater for themselves. This is possible thanks to a well-equipped kitchen in each apartment. Basic ingredients such as coffee, tea and muesli are available to guests in the kitchen. Fresh food can be bought in the nearby K-supermarket "Selleri". In summer, the Crazy Cat restaurant, located only five minutes away on the market square, offers an affordable breakfast buffet.
  • Note: family-run hotel; pets are allowed, free parking available, next supermarket in 500 m
  • Sustainability: waste is recycled, the apartments are heated with geothermal energy
  • Accessibility: Vaasa airport (100 km), Vaasa and Pori railway stations (100 km), from Vaasa and Pori there are bus connections to Kristinestad
