Your visit to Suomenlinna will begin at Suomenlinna Centre with the film Suomenlinna Experience. The wide-screen film presents the construction of the sea fortress, it’s colorful past and the people who made it all happen.

After the wide-screen presentation our authorized guide will take you to see the most important sights of the fortress, such as the Great Castle Courtyard and the Dry Dock, which in its days was among the largest in the world. During the tour of fortress the guide will tell you about it’ s eventful history and the life on the islands today.

Cannon Sloop Diana

Experience Suomenlinna’s coastal waters with Cannon Sloop Diana

Set off on a memorable sea voyage to Suomenlinna’s coastal waters by sailing in 1700s atmosphere. The cannon sloop tours offer unique sea voyages with a sense of history. The crew in 18th century costumes enlivens the journey on board. The vessel moves by means of sailing or rowing, as well as with a motor.

During Diana’s sailings you will see Suomenlinna from the sea and hear about the fascinating history of the archipelago fleet. The public can choose to assist in raising and lowering the sails, and brave ones can join in the rowing. The journey is enlivened by Admiral Chapman and his crew.
