This trip is a great opportunity to make a digital journey along the eastern part of Arctic Europe from Hammerfest and North Cape in the north to Posio in the south. The trip starts from Hammerfest and North Cape in the most northern parts of Northern Norway especially famous for the midnight sun. Next up is Kirkenes that is in the most eastern corner of Norway on the border to Russia. In the most northern parts of Finland you will experience Nuorgam and Utsjoki by the river Teno that is the border river between Norway and Finland. Next up is the village Inari, that is the heart of the Sámi culture in Finland. Travelling south the next destinations are Saariselkä and Pyhä-Luosto. The next leg of the journey takes you to the middle of nowhere – Salla. The final destination of this trip is Posio in the southern parts of Finnish Lapland.
The digital fam trip is a webinar in which a region or company presents its activities and services virtually via authentic, pre-produced videos. On August 25 and 26, you will have the opportunity to meet providers from Hammerfest, North Cape and Kirkenes in Norway as well as Nuorgam, Utsjoki, Inari, Saariselkä, Pyhä-Luosto, Salla and Posio in Finnland.
The digital fam trip is aimed at international tour operators. Participation is free of charge. To participate you only have to fill out the form below. Registration is possible until August 11. The previous trips were all fully booked after a few days, so if you are interested you should register as soon as possible. The link to participate will be sent to you by mail shortly before the digital fam trip takes place.

Destinasjon 71 Grader Nord is an outdoor activity provider located at the far northern end of mainland Europe, the North Cape. Kirkenes, located north east in Northern Norway about 400 km north of the Arctic Circle, is known as the capital of the Barents Region and the gateway to the east. Just 15 km far from the Russian border, 10% of the people in Kirkenes are Russians. Kirkenes is the turning point of the Hurtigruten coastal steamer. During winter, activities like dog-sledge trips, snowmobile tours, northern light and king crab safaris are offered. Experiences in summer are fishing for giant crab, river boat trips to the Russian borderline, quad bike safari through the taiga or hiking tours.

Siida is your guide to Sámi culture and northern nature. Our exhibitions and events give our visitors a window into the north: we provide information on the ancient and vibrant Sámi culture and on arctic nature. Siida is renewed in 2020–2022. The extension parts have been completed in the spring of 2021. The renovation of the present Siida Building is on at this moment as well as the renewal of the main exhibition. The new exhibition “Enâmeh láá mii párnááh – These lands are our children” will be finished in April 2022.

Approximately 250 kilometres North of the Arctic Circle is Europe’s northernmost outdoor resort, Saariselkä. Pyhä-Luosto has a central location in Finnish Lapland, only 1,5 hours from Rovaniemi, 2 hours from Kittilä and 3 hours from Kuusamo. Salla is a cozy and authentic destination situated in Finnish Lapland above the Arctic Circle, next to the Russian border and in the middle of one of the largest wilderness areas in Europe.
