Viking Line is increasing its summer capacity once again in 2026 by adding more departures between Helsinki and Tallinn and offering special cruises to Visby on the Swedish island of Gotland. From June 17 to August 9, the company will strengthen its Helsinki–Tallinn route by operating Viking Cinderella and Gabriella alongside Viking XPRS. During the busiest summer weeks, passengers will have access to up to four daily departures between Finland and Estonia.
Estonia remains one of the most popular summer destinations for Finnish travelers. At the same time, interest in self-drive holidays and multi-destination Baltic itineraries continues to grow. According to Viking Line, more travelers are using Tallinn as a gateway to other Baltic destinations such as Pärnu, Tartu and eastern Estonia.
A new addition for summer 2026 is the possibility to stay overnight on board Viking XPRS while the vessel is docked in Tallinn. Travelers can board in the evening, spend the night in their cabin and return to Helsinki the following morning. The service is designed for passengers who want to enjoy a full day in Tallinn without rushing back to the port in the evening.
Alongside Tallinn services, Viking Line will also operate special cruises to Visby on the island of Gotland. The medieval town has become an increasingly attractive destination for Nordic travelers looking for new Baltic Sea experiences.
The cruises provide an easy and comfortable way to explore Gotland, which can otherwise be difficult to reach independently.
