TUI Netherlands is expanding its flight offering to northern Finland by launching a new series of charter flights starting on 15 January 2026. The route connects Amsterdam with Kuusamo and Ivalo, operating round-trip every Thursday until 12 March 2026. A total of eight flights will be shared between Kuusamo and Ivalo. This new connection complements TUI’s existing services to Ruka and Northern Finland. With the increased capacity, there will be weekly flights from both Amsterdam and Rotterdam during the 2025/26 winter season, operating on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Dutch travellers are among the most important international visitor groups for the Ruka-Kuusamo region. They particularly enjoy the wide range of winter activities such as skiing, snowshoeing, husky safaris, and the opportunity to witness the magical northern lights.
The new flight series is expected to further increase the number of Dutch visitors during the 2025/26 winter season – a clear benefit for local businesses and service providers in the region. “The Netherlands is our third-largest international market. This winter alone, overnight stays have increased by 16%. The new connection perfectly supports this growth trend,” says Janne-Juhani Haarma, CEO of Ruka-Kuusamo Tourism Association.
