### The world's first hydrogen ferry is Norway's Ship of the Year 2021

The award is granted annually by the trade magazine [Skipsrevyen](https://www.skipsrevyen.no/). "Hydrogen and electric power make MF Hydra one of the most environmentally friendly ferries in the world. Hydrogen as an emission-free fuel also shows great potential as an alternative fuel for ships, also for longer sea routes," says the chairman of the jury and editor-in-chief of Skipsrevyen Gustav Erik Blaalid. The world's first hydrogen ferry, MF Hydra, has been in service since July 2021.
