Oslo will join the list of cities such as London and New York when The Hoxton opens its first hotel in the Nordic countries in 2027. AB Invest, Møller Eiendom and Ennismore have joined forces to build this international hotel in the centre of Oslo. Hoxton Oslo will be centrally located in Hammersborg and will comprise 144 rooms, conference facilities, a fitness centre, bar and restaurants. Construction of the Hoxton Oslo is scheduled to start this autumn.
The hotel will overlook the large government park, which will be complemented by a monument and green communal areas. The Hoxton will be the first international lifestyle chain in Norway. In 2023, Oslo was named one of the ten best cities in the world by Condé Nast Traveler. Foreign tourists no longer come to Norway just for the nature, but also for the food, architecture and cultural experiences.
Since its establishment, Hoxton has been an innovator in the hospitality industry and is known for replacing traditional lobbies with lively cafés, bars and restaurants. The hotels are marketed as "open houses", with open doors and a welcoming atmosphere.
