Scandic Hotels is bringing its economy brand Scandic Go to Norway. The existing Scandic Grensen in central Oslo will be converted and relaunched during the first half of 2026 as the country’s first Scandic Go.
With 96 rooms and a location just steps from Karl Johans gate, the hotel will target the growing demand for affordable city breaks. Scandic Go combines modern design, digital self-service and competitive pricing – a concept already proving successful in other markets.
“Norway is one of our most important markets with great potential. Launching Scandic Go in downtown Oslo is a key step in our growth strategy,” says Jens Mathiesen, President & CEO of Scandic Hotels Group.
Asle Prestegard, COO of Scandic Norway, adds: “Thanks to its central location and contemporary profile, the hotel will meet the needs of a new generation of guests and be a strong addition to the Norwegian hotel market.”
Vor der Eröffnung wird das Haus umfassend an die Standards von Scandic Go angepasst. Wie die Mehrheit der Scandic-Hotels wird auch das neue Haus mit dem Nordic Swan Ecolabel ausgezeichnet.
