The planned hotels in Tromsø, Norway, and Aarhus, Denmark, are part of Scandic's future expansion and are expected to open in 2025 and 2026 respectively. The new locations will join Scandic's renowned Signature Collection, which aims to meet growing demand in the leisure segment.
Scandic already has five Signature hotels in Stockholm, Helsinki, Bergen and Oslo, targeting travellers for whom the hotel experience is an integral part of their journey, regardless of the purpose of their trip. Scandic's Signature Collection consists of lifestyle hotels that emphasise the unique character of each hotel and are designed to appeal to both locals and travellers as social meeting places.
The two new hotels in Tromsø and Aarhus will offer wellness and fitness areas, rooftop bars, meeting rooms and catering facilities. They will be built sustainably and certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, an eco-label of the Nordic countries.
Tromsø is an emerging market for international leisure travellers, especially with the expansion of the airport and attractions such as cruises, northern lights and mountain tourism.
Aarhus, Denmark's second largest city, is attractive to domestic and international visitors due to its infrastructure and accessibility.
The expansions strengthen Scandics position as a leading hotel operator in Norway and Denmark, offering both national and international guests.
