Scandinavian airline SAS has announced the launch of a new route from Turku Airport to Copenhagen, Denmark, starting in March 2025. Scheduled flights will be available every weekday during the summer months. At the same time, SAS will increase flight frequency on the Helsinki-Copenhagen route.
The Turku-Copenhagen route will operate from March 31 to May 21, 2025, initially four times a week on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Starting May 21, 2025, the route will also be flown on Wednesdays, making the connection available every weekday.
After Midsummer, the route will take a break until early August, when flights will resume on weekdays until the end of the summer season. SAS will operate this route using a 122-seat Embraer E195 aircraft.
“We are very pleased that SAS is adding the Copenhagen-Turku route to its offering. This new route strengthens Turku’s international accessibility and provides passengers with a wide range of connecting flights from Copenhagen, both within Europe and to the United States,” said Petri Vuori, Senior Vice President of Sales and Route Development at Finavia.
SAS already offers scheduled flights from Turku Airport to Stockholm Arlanda Airport, a route that will also continue in the summer of 2025. In addition, the airline has announced increased frequencies on the Helsinki-Copenhagen route for next summer.
