Scandinavian airline SAS Scandinavian Airlines has announced a new meal concept for Economy Class passengers. Under the name “Flavors by SAS”, the refreshed inflight dining service will be introduced on European flights starting in autumn 2025. The goal is to offer passengers more variety, higher quality, and a modern culinary experience – with a strong emphasis on regional ingredients and sustainable packaging.
“Flavors by SAS” includes a broad selection of hot and cold meals, tailored to different times of day and flight durations. Menus will be updated regularly and are designed to suit both classic and contemporary taste preferences. The new dining concept highlights the culinary diversity of Scandinavia, using ingredients sourced from or inspired by the Nordic region. Examples range from fresh sandwiches and seasonal salads to hearty hot dishes.
Passengers in SAS Go class will soon have the option to pre-select and order meals online before departure. This not only improves the personalized experience, but also helps reduce food waste. In addition, a selection of snacks, drinks, and lighter dishes will remain available for purchase onboard during the flight.
With “Flavors by SAS,” the airline introduces a contemporary inflight dining experience that combines quality, regional identity, and environmental awareness. For travelers, this means more choice, better service, and a chance to enjoy food more consciously – all in line with the Nordic way of travel. The new concept will roll out gradually across European routes beginning in autumn 2025.
