Following the acclaimed success of this year’s staging of Turandot, Opera på Skäret is already preparing for its next major production. In the summer of 2026, Giacomo Puccini’s beloved classic La Bohème will once again take the stage in the opera house by Lake Ljusnaren.
La Bohème is one of the world’s most frequently performed operas. Its tale of love, friendship, and fragile dreams in 19th-century Paris remains as relevant as ever – brought to life through Puccini’s moving score and the librettos of Illica and Giacosa.
“We have long been eager to bring La Bohème back to our audiences,” says Alexander Niclasson, Artistic Director of Opera på Skäret. “The characters’ struggles and longings resonate deeply, and Puccini’s music allows us to experience opera at its very best.”
Ticket sales for the premiere weekend open today. Visitors can look forward to a summer rich in passion, poetry, and Puccini’s unforgettable melodies.
