On March 26, 2025, the newly renovated Scandic Wallin on Wallingatan in Stockholm will open its doors. Reservations start on November 7, offering guests 246 rooms designed in a modern functionalist style. Formerly known as Scandic Norra Bantorget, the hotel has been completely transformed.
Scandic Wallin is ideally located between Stockholm’s City and Vasastan districts, perfect for both culture enthusiasts and shopping lovers. Inside, guests can enjoy modern design inspired by the iconic Swedish architect Sven "Mr. Funkis" Markelius, featuring warm colors, artistic forms, and a stylish nod to the functionalist aesthetic.
As with all Scandic hotels, sustainability is a core principle at Scandic Wallin. The hotel is certified under the stringent new Nordic Swan Ecolabel criteria, utilizing eco-friendly products, 100% renewable energy, no single-use packaging, and a sustainable food selection focused on reducing waste.
“We are thrilled to open this modern hotel in such a central location,” says Peter Jangbratt, Head of Scandic Sweden. “It’s perfectly suited for both business and leisure travelers and a valuable addition to our Stockholm portfolio.”
In addition to 25 newly added rooms, the hotel offers various options to suit every preference, from cozy cabin rooms to spacious double rooms, and even rooms with a private sauna.
