Norwegian is expanding its winter network with a new direct connection between Glasgow Airport and Tromsø, making Northern Norway’s Arctic experiences more accessible for travelers from Scotland.
The new route will launch on 11 December 2026 and operate twice weekly throughout the winter season, on Mondays and Fridays, making it suitable for both short breaks and longer winter stays.
For tour operators, the new connection creates additional opportunities to include Tromsø in winter itineraries, offering easier access to one of Europe’s most popular Arctic destinations.
Known for its Northern Lights experiences, whale watching, Arctic landscapes and outdoor adventures, Tromsø continues to attract travelers looking for authentic winter experiences in Northern Norway.
Mondays
Tromsø – Glasgow: 15:10–17:15
Glasgow – Tromsø: 17:55–21:45
Fridays
Tromsø – Glasgow: 11:10–13:15
Glasgow – Tromsø: 13:55–17:45
The route will operate from 11 December 2026 until 22 March 2027.
The new Glasgow–Tromsø route strengthens the link between Scotland and Northern Norway and provides more flexibility when planning Arctic winter programs.
