For the coming winter season, Finnish Lapland continues to be the most popular destination among the Nordic countries. Experiences such as reindeer encounters, husky safaris, Northern Lights tours, and stays in glass igloos are in high demand. Around Christmas, the Santa Claus Village in Rovaniemi further boosts the region’s appeal.
While Norway, Sweden, and Iceland show only moderate price adjustments, Finland stands out with significantly higher costs. According to specialists Tuja Reisen, Troll Tours, Wolters Rundreisen, as well as major operators TUI and Dertour, airfare increases are the main driver. However, product managers expect prices to remain stable for now, given the sufficient flight capacity available.
Additional routes provide more options for travelers: TUI Fly is launching direct flights to the Sälen-Trysil ski area on the Swedish-Norwegian border. Discover Airlines will also connect to Alta in northern Norway – a hotspot for Northern Lights viewing and Arctic adventures.
