Sweden’s largest airport investment named “Commercial Space of the Year < 25,000 m²”

The newly opened Marketplace in Terminal 5 at Stockholm Arlanda Airport has been awarded “Commercial Space of the Year < 25,000 m²” at the NCSC Nordic Awards 2025, beating out strong contenders including Helsinki Airport.

Passenger experience at the core

The expert jury highlighted the Marketplace’s professional development, innovative business model, and strong focus on passenger benefits and competitiveness. The result is a modern, flexible environment for shopping, dining, and services that enhances the overall airport experience.

“We are proud that the Marketplace has been named Commercial Space of the Year. This confirms that we have truly listened to our passengers’ needs. A strong commercial offering not only improves the travel experience but also ensures Arlanda’s competitiveness and long-term connectivity between Sweden and the world,” said Charlotte Ljunggren, Director of Marketing and Commercial Development at Swedavia.

A new hub at Stockholm Arlanda

With around 11,000 square meters and some 40 new shops and restaurants, the Marketplace represents the largest commercial investment in Arlanda’s history. Completed in summer 2025, the space features Scandinavian-inspired design with wood elements and soft lines, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
