Luxair is adding a long-anticipated northern gem to its route network: starting 2 July 2026, the airline will offer direct flights between Luxembourg and Helsinki. Operating twice weekly on Mondays and Thursdays, this new connection makes it easier than ever to reach the Finnish capital for both business and leisure travellers.
Helsinki, often called the Design Capital of the North, is known for its clean architecture, vibrant cultural scene, and relaxed seaside charm. Located on the Baltic Sea, the city offers summer visitors long daylight hours, buzzing outdoor cafés, and cultural highlights such as:
The new route complements Luxair’s existing Northern Europe connections (Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen) and reflects the growing interest in sustainable, nature-connected travel experiences.
Monday & Thursday
LG5401 Luxembourg → Helsinki | 06:00 – 09:30
LG5402 Helsinki → Luxembourg | 10:20 – 11:55
With this launch, Luxair closes a long-standing gap in its Nordic network and positions itself as a strong player in the Northern European market. The Helsinki flights also offer an excellent alternative to the previous one-stop journeys via Copenhagen.
